It gives me great pleasure to announce the inaugural meeting of the Middle East Society of Asphalt Technologists (MESAT) in Beirut-Lebanon this summer (July 5-8, 2010) (www.MESAT.org).
The aim of MESAT is to provide a forum for specialists to exchange knowledge and expertise on highway asphalt pavements and discuss the challenges of pavement design and engineering in the Middle East and around the world.

As a specialist in the field of civil engineering, we invite you to join the Society, submit an abstract to present your work at this landmark conference, and attend the international training workshops on pavement technology featured during the meeting.

We hope that you will join the Society and register for the meeting at www.MESAT.org and send an abstract on your work or research. Your early response will help make this inaugural meeting a success and will allow us to lay the foundation for a rewarding and educational experience.
